With us since

There are only a select few action sport photographers that can work and thrive deep in the harsh and secluded backcountry.

Margus Riga is one of them. So much so that his last name has become a known term.

Ever heard of getting Riga’d? It revolves around Margus’ approach to adventures and the underselling of the difficulty that awaits; trusting that your friends will probably survive anyway.

Margus’ journey as a professional photographer all started in 2007 when he made the leap to trying it out full-time. Over the years he’s built an impressive career from the ground up. Today, Margus has positioned himself as a go-to photographer in the mountain bike industry, and it’s safe to say he’s already sitting on legend status.

Margus balances capturing beautiful moments with his camera and setting the pace with top-tier riders with ease. Plus, he does it all with a huge smile on his face. And let’s not forget, he can shred.

He’s worked with Rocky Mountain as a photographer for many of the brand’s most iconic campaigns. From Slayer to Solo, he knows Rocky Mountain better than most. We’re thrilled to officially call Margus one of our athletes as he has been quietly earning the designation with every shoot we do together.

We asked Margus what keeps him coming back for more. His response: “It’s knowing that one day, I may not be able to physically endure these trips anymore. Until then, I’ll keep on pushing.”
